The Dubuque Art Center is always looking for fun art & creativity enthusiasts to help with our various programs, projects, and events! Art Market Committee Member
This volunteer position will help plan, coordinate and execute a highly successful Art Market. Art Market is an annual event that features work by local and regional artists and designers. It takes place in the port of Dubuque and occurs on the first and third Saturdays, from 10am-4pm, in June, July, August. This position is perfect for people who want to see Dubuque continue to grow culturally.
Youth Artist Ally
This volunteer position is an integral component of our Master Studio program, designed to help youth in high school develop their creative and artistic potential through one-on-one arts-focused mentoring with local professionals. As a Youth Arts Ally you meet weekly with your student and work with them to develop their creative and technical abilities in your field(s) of expertise. You may also choose to help the student plan an end of year exhibit at the Art Center’s annual student art exhibition.
After School Program Assistant
This volunteer position works with and assists our youth instructors in our after school art programs. This position is perfect for people who enjoy working with students and helping them engage in creative opportunities. Our two primary after school programs are The Youth Studio (ages 6-10) and LEAP (students at Washington & Jefferson middle school), which generally run from 3pm to 5:30pm or 6pm Monday through Friday.
